When employees are stressed if they wake up late for the office there is an investment banker Saishwari Patil, who was paid Rs 9 Lakh just to sleep. The banker recently earned the title of 'Sleep Champion' in Wakefit's third season of its internship program.

The sleep internship is designed for individuals who struggle to rest, this internship program requires employees to sleep for at least eight to nine hours each night. Saishwari was one of the 12 selected interns for the program. Every intern was provided premium comfortable mattresses and a contactless sleep tracker to observe their sleeping patterns.

This Was The Criterial For 'Sleep Internship' Selection

The selection process for interns had various steps. First, the resume screening was done to choose shortlisted candidates. Then, the contestants were asked to upload a video resume that effectively highlights their passion for sleep. Further interviews of the candidates assessed their interest in helping people better sleep.

Chief Marketing Officer Wakefit, Kunal Dubey said that this sleep internship is a lighthearted approach to getting Indians in bed once again. For this objective, for the interns, a stipend will be provided. The Great Indian Sleep Scorecard 2024 comes with alarming data: nearly half of Indians wake up feeling tired.

Bengaluru Banker Applied For It Out Of Curiosity

Saishwari applies just out of curiosity, but by the time she gets through the internship, she is set on learning more about sleep. "I look forward to mastering all the necessary sleep strategies," she says. "The internship opened my eyes to the world of sleep science, and I am eager to keep pursuing various sleep strategies."
