At least four spectators were injured when a bull surged into the crowd from its enclosure during a rodeo in Oregon, causing panic and mayhem. On Saturday night, at Sisters Rodeo, a bull by the name of Party Bus got loose during the latter part of the bull-riding competition.

According to the Sisters Rodeo Association, the bull leapt over an arena fence, stormed onto the rodeo grounds, and ran to holding pens where livestock experts restrained it. A video of the incident, which went viral on social media, captured the bull jumping a fence into the rodeo grandstand and toppling a garbage can. Moments later, the bull sprang at a woman, throwing her into the air twice.

Cowboys and other rodeo specialists swiftly tamed the bull and steered it back into a pen, away from the throng.

Lieutenant Jayson Janes, a spokesman for the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, reported that four individuals sustained injuries, including a responding deputy who suffered minor wounds. According to a statement released by the Sisters Rodeo Association on Sunday, two of those individuals, including the woman, were transported to a hospital. Afterwards, they were all released.

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association stated that while rodeo is a highly entertaining activity, it can also pose some risk on very rare occasions, referencing Saturday's event. They also complimented the arena's pickup guys for promptly containing the animal.

In a statement, it expressed gratitude for the rapid, professional response of the arena pickup men, rodeo staff, and local first responders, who prevented the situation from worsening.

Since their first event in Sisters in 1940, organizers reported that this breach was the first occurrence that anyone could remember. The final rodeo performance on Sunday proceeded according to plan.
