Palace on Wheels To Unveil Wedding Services From July 20, Alongside Regal Features and Deluxe Cabins

Rajasthan is renowned for its scenic beauty, rich culture, and heritage. Every street and corner exudes its storied past. Each city and town in the state boasts a unique identity and notable attractions. This pride is exemplified by the Palace on Wheels, India’s second most luxurious train, renowned for its regal amenities that elevate passenger experience. Now, the train is preparing to unveil an exciting new feature.

The Palace on Wheels, launched in 1982 by Indian Railways and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, promotes Rajasthan tourism. Also known as Heritage Palace on Wheels, it offers deluxe cabins, fine dining, a bar, lounge, spa, and now, a unique feature: weddings onboard.

Rajasthan's iconic Palace on Wheels, renowned for its regal interiors and exquisite dining, will now host weddings and other ceremonies. A travel company has partnered to offer these services starting July 20, making it a unique offering.

Until now, no wedding has taken place on a moving train. The Palace on Wheels tour explores Rajasthan's historical and tourist destinations, including Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bharatpur, Agra, and New Delhi.

Following the Maharaja Express, Palace on Wheels ranks as India's second most expensive train, with fares reaching lakhs. The average daily fare per passenger is approximately Rs 1 lakh, varying based on the duration of travel. This luxurious train attracts foreign tourists, celebrities, and businessmen alike.

The royal train now offers every amenity for passengers and will soon accommodate weddings, expected to generate revenue in lakhs of rupees.
