In a startling incident emerging from Hyderabad, a businesswoman stands accused of kidnapping a television anchor after he turned down her marriage proposal. According to police reports, the woman, identified as Bhogireddy Trisha, has been arrested on charges of stalking the TV anchor and orchestrating his abduction. The accused claims that she was deceived by an unknown individual posing as the TV anchor, who allegedly swindled her money before vanishing.

Pranav managed to escape from captivity and promptly alerted the authorities, seeking assistance in the matter.

The Matrimonial Profile Was Fake

However, upon investigation, it was discovered that Pranav's matrimonial profile had been falsely created by an unidentified individual. The woman had initially connected with someone named Chaitanya Reddy through the Bharat Matrimonial website two years prior. As their interaction progressed, they began communicating via WhatsApp and Instagram. Police investigations have unveiled intriguing details in this regard.

After a while, the individual purportedly asked the woman to invest in his business, assuring lucrative returns. Allegedly, Trisha transferred Rs 40 lakh to this person through UPI. However, after receiving the funds, the individual reportedly started ignoring her.

Upon realizing that she had been deceived, the woman contacted the phone number provided on the profile, which belonged to Pranav. He informed her that an unknown individual named Chaitanya Reddy had utilized his photo to fabricate a false account on Bharat Matrimony, and he had already filed a complaint with the cyber cell.

What Action Has Been Taken In Hyderabad Kidnapping Case?

According to the police, on February 11, four hired individuals abducted the anchor and transported him to the woman's office, where he was subjected to severe physical assault. Fearing for his safety, the TV anchor acquiesced to answer the woman's call, after which he was permitted to leave. Subsequently, a complaint was filed at the Uppal police station, and charges were pressed under sections 363 (kidnapping), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
