Viral Video: Phone Call Sparks Fire, Engulfs Bike In Flames At Maharashtra Petrol Pump

In a strange incident, a motorcycle suddenly caught fire while refueling at a pump on the Ahmednagar road. A video of the incident has gone viral, in which it appears the two-wheeler caught fire when its rider received an SMS on his mobile phone, but whether that was the cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.

Both the motorcyclist and the construction worker were unharmed in the accident, as the latter promptly used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.

According to reports, the rider had stopped at a pump to refuel his bike for Rs 300 when he suddenly got an alarm and took out his phone from his pocket to check. As soon as he took out his cell phone, the top fuel nozzle that powers the vehicle caught fire.

All gas stations have warnings prohibiting the use of mobile phones and smoking on their premises due to the risk of burns and fires.
