A new video is doing the rounds on the internet where a woman dances to the hit song 'Aaj Ki Raat' from the Tamannaah Bhatia starrer movie Stree 2. Saheli Rudra shared it on Instagram and since this dance took place inside a metro coach, a range of opinions flooded the online debate. While most of the viewers appreciated the spontaneity of the performance, others labeled it something that should not take place in public.

The clip, uploaded on Instagram, shows Saheli Rudra dancing in the middle of a metro coach. "On public demand," is what she writes for the caption of the video. It includes mixed reactions from people around in the metro coach as some seem to enjoy her impromptu performance and others seem uncomfortable or irritated because of it.

The viral video garnered more than 8 lakh views in three days since posting and created much chatter on social media. Scores of users flooded the comments section to attack it and praise it alike. "People are losing their sense of place; this is not the right spot for a dance performance," said one user. Another wrote, "Not everyone is here for your entertainment. Be considerate of others."

On the other hand, some users came to the defense of the woman's dance. "She's living her best life! Why not dance if it brings her joy?" one user remarked. Still, not everyone agreed and one user added, "This is not a stage; it's public transport some people are just trying to get to work".

Artistic Freedom Or Disruption In Public?
The video reignites debate on appropriate performances in public spaces, and so many think that everyone should be free to express themselves, while others feel that there are some bounds to be respected outside, in the space of a metro train.
