The union minister actually wanted to write 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' but she instead wrote 'Beti Padao Bachchav'. Notably, Thakur was interrupted and was tried to be corrected but she continued writing in her own style without taking cognizance of the suggestion.

Savitri Thakur was elected MP from Dhar for the second time and became a minister for the first time. She was associated with the Sangh. According to the information, Savitri's husband is a farmer and her father is a civil servant. Coming from an ordinary family, she has no connection with politics. According to her affidavit submitted to the election commission, Savitri Thakur has pursued her education up to intermediate but due to a typo in the slogan, she was targeted by people.

However, some have appreciated her journey and added that coming from a tribal community and reaching where she is is hugely applaudable.
