X User Shares How Couple Cheats Restaurants By Using Dead Fly, Calls It 'Pathetic'

People often exploit the hospitable nature of restaurants. Recently, an X user shared a disturbing story about a middle-aged couple in Gurugram and their shocking scam to get free meals. Udit Bhandari, the user, exposed how the couple brings a dead fly to upscale restaurants and secretly adds it to their meals to avoid paying the bill.

Mr. Bhandari met the middle-aged couple at a friend's house party in Gurugram. They shared with him that they often dine at 5-star restaurants in Delhi and Gurugram. During the meal, they place a fly in the food, cause a commotion, and avoid paying the bill. The user added that the couple engages in this behavior "for fun" and doesn't appear to be "tight on money."

Mr. Bhandari added that midway through their meal, the couple would discreetly slip the dead fly into their food and then make a huge fuss about it. To appease them, the restaurant management would either not charge for that dish or, in most cases, make their entire meal free. The couple proudly shared this "hack" for getting free meals, claiming they have done it many times.

One user commented, feeling relieved they hadn't encountered anyone like them, and noted that they thought such people existed only in movies, not real life. They advised Mr. Bhandari to be more selective about his social circle and the people he meets.

Another user shared that his brother, who used to work part-time at McDonald's, often dealt with privileged customers who would eat halfway and then complain about the bread, and vegetables, or claim they ordered something else. As a policy, the restaurant would resolve the issue by replacing the order or providing extra meals

A third user condemned the couple's actions as disgusting, pathetic, and a clear example of theft and fraud, reflecting poorly on their upbringing. Another user remarked that while the couple didn't seem to lack money, they certainly lacked basic civic sense and morality.
