iPhone 16 Craze In India: Mumbai Man Stands For 21 Hours In Queue To Buy New Phone

As Apple iPhone 16 series sale begins in India, people couldn’t control their excitement. People have thronged Apple stores in the country. Long queues were seen outside the stores in Delhi’s Saket and Mumbai’s BKC.

A visual from Mumbai's BKC, India's first Apple store shows huge crowd gathered outside to purchase the brand new Apple iPhone. People look excited and can be seen cheering while waiting for their turn to grab the new beauty.

A customer told IANS that he comes every year for the launch of iPhone and this year also he had pre-booked the phone on Apple Online. Many users wished to get the phone in Titanium colour. Another user said that he came to buy iPhone 16 Pro for his entire family, as the first generation iPhone user they are used to it and can’t choose any other device, said another customer.

There were several users who became an early bird to buy iPhone, one such customer who came to the Apple Store at 4 AM, told IANS that he has been an iPhone user for five years “and it’s always been my dream to upgrade whenever a new phone is released”, he added.

People have traveled long distances just to buy the new iPhone, one such customer is from UP’s Saharanpur, Mohammad Shariq. Speaking to ANI, Mohammad Shariq said that he is fond of Apple company and can travel anywhere to buy its product. He mentioned that he was planning to go to Mumbai, but got the phone easily here in Delhi so left the idea. Talking about the iPhone 16, he said he is yet to use it and examine the features but as there was craze to buy it, he too got it. He was using iPhone 15 pro max earlier. "I came from Saharanpur in UP. I have purchased the iPhone 16. I am an iPhone lover. I was planning to go to the Mumbai store, but I got it in Delhi itself. Earlier I was using the iPhone 15 Pro Max", he said.

Another customer, Ujjwal Shah told ANI that he was standing in queue for the last 21 years and was the first one to enter the store when it opened at 8 AM. Talking about the features of new phone, Ujjwal said, the phone has new camera button, bigger screen size, faster wireless charging, apple intelligence along with iOS 18.1. He also mentioned that the atmosphere in Mumbai is different today, at one hand there is excitement for the phone and on the other for the store.
