The SpaceX Crew-9 mission to the International Space Station has been rescheduled from August 18 to September 26, 2024. The pause takes into account weather conditions and also ensures ample time for the team to complete all final prelaunch activities.

This will be Hague's second mission to ISS and his third spaceflight overall. Earlier, he had visited the station during Expeditions 59 and 60 in 2019 and spent 203 days in space.

Originally, NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson were set to fly on the mission, but the agency replaced them with mass simulators. The launch was previously set for August 18 with four crew members.

The Crew-9 launch was mainly postponed to allow the Boeing Starliner capsule to safely return to Earth with astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams.

This rescheduling allows NASA and SpaceX Crew-9 to finish important system checks and complete all the planned mission objectives.
