No One Should Cross The ‘Red Line’: US Ambassador Garcetti On Pannun case

US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, underscored the importance of maintaining boundaries in the ongoing investigation into the alleged assassination plot targeting India-designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.

In an interview with ANI, Garcetti emphasized the need to avoid crossing any red lines, asserting that no country or government employee should be involved in attempting to assassinate a foreign citizen. He stressed that such actions would violate fundamental principles of sovereignty and rights.

Addressing the threats issued by Pannun against India, Garcetti highlighted the United States' commitment to protecting free speech, even when it may be controversial. Garcetti shared personal experiences, illustrating the complexities of balancing free speech protections with the need to prevent violence or harm.
