Fans liked the trailer of Kalki 2898 AD, which came out on June 9. The film, directed and written by Nag Ashwin, stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. Recently, a South Korean artist claimed that the film's creators copied his original artwork.

Sung Choi posted a picture of the scene he's talking about. It's the first scene in the trailer for Kalki 2898 AD, where we see a city destroyed by war. In the movie, which is set in a future world after a great disaster in the year 2898 AD, this scene looks very much like a piece of artwork Sung Choi created and shared 10 years ago.

The artist wrote, 'Unauthorized use of artwork is a bad practice. I sometimes even question doing art in this lawless environment'.

The post quickly gained reactions from people on Instagram.

One user commented, 'This is really bad. The trailer starts with copied content. I'm worried about what else might be wrong with it.'

Another person commented, 'This is totally shame on them, the most sad thing is this is the intro shot of the production house'.

Another user claimed that the entire trailer resembles themes from 'Epoch,' 'Mad Max,' 'Dune,' and other films. They also noted similarities with the 'Saga' comic book series from Image Comics. Furthermore, they pointed out designs in the trailer that appear to be inspired by the 'Halo' series and 'Death Stranding.'

The user expressed surprise at how some concept designers involved in the film have not spoken out about these similarities.
