As security personnel across the country performed yoga asanas in challenging terrains such as deserts, snowy mountains, and at sea, their dog squads also participated in practicing the ancient Indian tradition.

In videos released by security forces, which have now gone viral on social media, dogs from armed forces and rescue teams were seen performing yoga asanas to celebrate the 10th International Yoga Day. These canine guards, typically engaged in patrolling, tracking, rescue operations, and detecting explosives, showcased their agility on yoga mats.

In a video released by the Indian army, two Labrador dogs can be seen joining a group of soldiers near the Line of Control (LOC) at the Indo-Pak border in Jammu. The dogs positioned themselves at the front of the group and followed their trainer's instructions, mirroring the soldiers' movements as they changed postures.

As the group began their yoga session, the two dogs quickly stood on their hind legs and joined their paws in unison. In another video released by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Jimmy, an Indian pariah dog, is seen performing yoga with the 13th battalion of the relief force.

Seated on his own yoga mat, the canine waits beside his trainer for the signal to join the session. With a swift arm movement, the trainer signals the dog, prompting it to rise onto its hind legs. Moments later, the dog lies on its side as the rescue personnel kneel to perform another asana.
