Badlapur: Political Leaders Slams Maharashtra Government On Sexual Assault Incident
Badlapur, Maharashtra: A sweeper named Akshay Shinde was held today for sexually assaulting two 4-year-old girl child in washroom of a school in Badlapur. Political leaders have expressed their anger over the tragic incident and slammed the Maharashtra government and school management.
Criticism Over The Incident
NCP (SCP) MP Supriya Sule charged Maharashtra government of mismanagement. She also held home ministry and education ministry responsible for failure of law & order in the state.
NCP-SCP leader Anil Deshmukh expressed his grief over the incident and called it unfortunate. He has put questions to the school management and asked "What the school management was doing?" Expressing her anger, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said "How long will we keep women away from justice?" She slams the government over fake election promises regarding the safety of women.
Reacting on Badlapur incident, LoP Maharashtra Vijay Wadettiwar said that such an incident is a matter of shame for Maharashtra. He held the state government responsibe for poor law and order situation. Meanwhile, NCPCR Chairperson Priyank Kanungo questioned the school's attitude in the case and slammed them for suppressing it. He also raised questions against the police officers who delayed filing FIR over the sensitive matter. Take a look at what he said:
Action On The Matter So Far
Maharashtra Government has arrested the culprit and he will face trial in a fast-track court. An SIT has also been established under by a DG Rank officer. Suspensions against the school principal, class teacher & attendants have been made. Police who delayed FIR is also removed from duty.
