Hidden Camera in Third Wave Coffee Outlet, Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A Third Wave Coffee employee in Bengaluru sparked controversy after he was caught secretly filming people in the washroom. The smartphone, hidden inside a dustbin, had its camera aimed at the toilet seat. The incident occurred at the BEL Road Cafe on August 10.

The coffee chain explained on social media that they dismissed the employee immediately and contacted the police as soon as they found the camera.

The report stated, 'We have immediately terminated the individual involved.' We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy and have initiated the necessary legal proceedings against him. We will fully cooperate with the relevant authorities to ensure that they take appropriate action.

A social media post from one eyewitness claimed that a woman had discovered a smartphone that had been recording for about two hours, pointing its camera at a toilet seat. The case has raised serious concerns about privacy and safety, prompting the coffee chain to take legal action against the implicated employee.

The witness revealed that someone had set the phone to flight mode to keep it silent and carefully wrapped it inside the dustbin bag, cutting a small hole to expose only the camera lens.

It soon emerged that the telephone belonged to one of the male staff. The police arrived promptly and took action.

Temple Spy Camera Scandal

This happened just weeks after authorities discovered a spy camera in a changing room in Ghaziabad. People mainly used the roofless room for praying at a nearby temple after bathing in the Muradnagar Ganga canal. A priest is facing charges of allegedly watching footage on his phone.

The issue came to light in late May when a woman visited the temple with her daughter and noticed a CCTV camera aimed at the roofless bathroom. Reports say she immediately approached the temple priest to question the camera's presence. However, the priest responded with abuse and threatened her with serious consequences if she spoke to anyone about it.
