It occurred at about 7 pm when the 31-year-old cab driver Sanjay Yadav was asked by the woman, who is from Mulund, to stop the vehicle on the bridge and claimed that she had to immerse some religious photos in the sea.

Information was given to the Nhava Sheva Traffic Branch Patrolling Team that the vehicle had come to a halt on the Atal Setu bridge and the woman crossed the railing. The team arrived a bit late as by then, she had already jumped into the sea, but Yadav managed to catch her by her hair. Later, the cops pulled her back onto the bridge.
