Bomb Threat or Mock Drill? Confusion Surrounds DLF Mall Noida, Forces Evacuation

Noida: On Saturday, both DLF Mall of India in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly received bomb threat emails. However, a spokesperson from DLF Mall later clarified that it was a mock drill intended to test security preparedness.

Manish Mishra, the additional deputy commissioner of police in Noida, stated that there was no actual bomb threat. Instead, a security drill was conducted at the DLF Mall of India, lasting two and a half hours, starting at 11 a.m. The mall was evacuated, and after two and a half hours, normal operations resumed. People were allowed to return to the mall by 1 p.m.

It's important to note that the DLF Mall of India is situated in Delhi-NCR and offers various amenities, including a multiplex cinema, entertainment zone, and food court. The shopping mall also features stores from leading brands in apparel, footwear, sportswear, salons, and more.
