Delhi: Mayapuri Flyover Carriageway To Remain Shut For 30 Days, Follow Traffic Advisory to Avoid Traffic Chaos

New Delhi: Important update for Delhi residents and visitors. The Mayapuri flyover (from Narayana to Raja Garden Carriageway) will remain closed for 30 days starting tomorrow, Friday, September 6, for the Public Works Department (PWD) repair work. This will cause major changes to traffic patterns, so make sure to check the traffic advisory before heading out. Follow the advisory issued by Delhi Police closely to avoid any issues, as penalties will be enforced for non-compliance.

Travelers Can Use Alternative Routes

The traffic advisory states that half of the Mayapuri flyover will be closed while the other half will stay open, for the next 30 days. Travelers coming from Dhaula Kuan and Narayana, as well as those heading from Raja Garden, should use alternative routes. You can either take the service road from the start of the Mayapuri flyover or bypass the flyover entirely. Another option is to pass through Lal Chowk.

Delhi Police Advises Public To Avoid Closed Roads

The Delhi Police has given instructions in the traffic advisory for everybody. They ask commuters to avoid using the closed road and to cooperate. Use public transport rather than private vehicles, and avoid parking on the roadside to prevent traffic jams. In emergencies, check the traffic conditions before leaving to avoid delays and getting stuck in traffic.
