The IMD stated that Kerala will experience widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over the next five days due to a cyclonic circulation over north Gujarat and another over the west central Bay of Bengal.

Due to the weather alert, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) advised people not to stand or park under trees, warning that strong winds could uproot trees or cause branches to break and fall.
