A complaint filed by the Telangana Congress unit has led to a case being filed against Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Telangana, accusing him of violating election rules.

Niranjan Reddy, the vice president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), claimed in a complaint to the state's Chief Electoral Officer that during a BJP rally on May 1st, some children were observed on the stage alongside Amit Shah.

Niranjan Reddy mentioned that during the rally, a child was spotted holding a BJP symbol, which he deemed a breach of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

Reddy's email to the Telangana CEO also asserted that the Election Commission had recently instructed political parties not to engage children or involve them in election-related campaigns or activities.

The election officials forwarded Niranjan Reddy's complaint to the Hyderabad police for a factual report. Subsequently, an FIR was lodged against Amit Shah on Thursday based on this complaint.
