With the unresolved prevailing situation of violence and unrest in Manipur, security forces continue to scale up their initiatives by installing anti-drone systems in vulnerable areas. Several anti-drone systems were deployed by Assam Rifles across the outskirts of the state to ensure there will be no rogue drone activities. "The CRPF tested one anti-drone system and handed it over to the troops deployed on the ground," said sources. The Manipur police have stated that more anti-drone guns are likely to come shortly to enhance the security mechanism of the state.

It also stated that the Manipur Police were in the process of acquiring anti-drone technology to further strengthen their defenses and more appropriately respond to drone-related threats.

Kuki Students' Union Condemns Allegation

In another development, the Kuki Students' Organisation General Headquarters has vehemently condemned allegations thrown by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI). The latter had accused the Indian Armed Forces of extending protection to Kuki militants. Further, it had claimed that the Meitei community was under proxy war orchestrated by the Indian government and its military. The students' body treated such allegations as unfounded and ridiculous.
KSO further attacked COCOMI for showing off the Meitei population as representative of the whole state, accused them of spreading misinformation links to the Valley-Based Meitei Insurgent Groups, particularly CorCom.
