Tamil Nadu: 4 Died, 20 Injured After Bus Falls Into Gorge

Officials reported that a private bus plunged into a gorge in Yercaud, Salem, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday evening, resulting in the deaths of at least four passengers and critically injuring twenty others.

What did the Tamil Nadu police say about this?

The police stated that the incident involved a private bus carrying 56 passengers from Yercaud to Salem.

As the bus approached the 13th hairpin bend, the driver lost control of the vehicle during the turn, causing it to hit the sidewall.

Following this, the bus plunged into the gorge and came to rest at the 11th hairpin bend, as per officials. Emergency responders quickly transported the injured to the hospital.

Police officials added that the Yercaud police have filed a complaint, and they are currently conducting an investigation.
