Watch: Bulldozer Demolishes Illegally Constructed House Of Udaipur Stabbing Accused

In Udaipur, Rajasthan, authorities demolished the illegally constructed house of a boy accused of stabbing a classmate on Saturday. The Udaipur district administration took action after permitting the accused’s family to remove their belongings from the unauthorized building. It was confirmed that the accused and his father had been living in the property as tenants.

Tensions Rise Amid Police Presence

To prevent any disruption during the demolition, a significant police presence was deployed at the site. Despite the precautions, a minor altercation broke out between local residents and the police when officers asked them to vacate the area.

Stabbing Incident Sparks Communal Tensions

The accused, a class 10 student, allegedly stabbed another student at a government-run school on Friday, escalating communal tensions in the Madhuban area of Udaipur. The police have detained the accused, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Following the stabbing incident, several Hindu right-wing groups gathered in the area, setting fire to three cars parked in a garage and engaging in stone-pelting. As tensions between communities escalate, the city is now on high alert.

Strict Measures and Prohibitory Orders

The demolition reflects the administration’s strict approach to unauthorized constructions and its quick response to maintaining public order. To manage the escalating situation, prohibitory orders under Section 144 were enforced, limiting large gatherings and ensuring public safety in Udaipur.
