FACT-CHECK: PIB Exposes Viral Claim Of 'Free Solar-Powered Flour Mills' For Women

PIB FACT-CHECK: The Government of India (GoI) has debunked a viral claim which says the Modi government is offering 'Free solar-powered flour mill machines' to women. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has done a Fact-check on the issue and claimed that the scheme is FAKE.

In a post on X, PIB warned the public that the Central Government is not running any such scheme, advising verification of government-related information through official channels. The bureau has also cautioned people against sharing personal information on suspicious platforms.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) started its operations in November 2019 and works to combat fake news and misinformation. It monitors and reports any suspicious content on social media, giving fact-checks to protect citizens.
